Terms of Use — Buyers

These General Terms of Use (hereinafter the “Terms”) set out the terms and conditions under which the EyaTickets platform, makes available to its users (hereinafter the “User” or the “Organizer”) in connection with the use of the Platform’s Services in Rwanda.

By accessing the Platform or using the services offered by EyaTickets, the User acknowledges having read these Terms and declares that they accept them without reservation. These Terms are supplemented by our Privacy Policy, our Refund Policy and our Cookie Policy, available on the website.

Definitions

EyaTickets: Platform offering event organization, management and ticketing services, accessible at eyatickets.com.

User: Any natural or legal person accessing and browsing the Platform, whether a mere visitor, an event Organizer or a participant (ticket buyer).

Organizer: Any user offering the sale of tickets or registration for events through the Platform.

Services: All the services offered on the Platform, in particular the publication of events and ticketing management.

Payment aggregator partner: Third-party payment service provider connected to the Platform via API, responsible for managing financial transactions related to ticketing.

Browsing the event catalog does not require creating an account. However, purchasing a ticket requires a valid Mobile Money phone number, used both for payment and for ticket delivery (SMS and/or email).

Account creation

Access to certain Services of the Platform requires the creation of an Organizer account. When registering, the User must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information. The User is solely responsible for the confidentiality of their login credentials (username, password, etc.) and for any action carried out on the Platform from their account.

Account deletion and deactivation

EyaTickets reserves the right to immediately suspend or delete an account in the event of a breach of these Terms or a violation of applicable law.

The User may also request the deletion of their account; this operation is permanent and the corresponding data will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and Law No. 058/2021 relating to the protection of personal data and privacy, in force in Rwanda.

Event organization

The Organizer may publish events on the Platform and freely set the conditions of participation (price, date, venue, number of places, etc.). EyaTickets does not handle the physical organization of events, nor the provision of on-site services. EyaTickets simply provides an online presentation and registration space.

Ticket purchase

Each ticket is personal and linked to a unique QR code, which must be presented at the entrance to the event. A confirmed purchase is firm and final: EyaTickets does not accept exchange or cancellation requests initiated by the buyer. Only a cancellation of the event by the organizer gives entitlement to a refund.

Payment and refunds

Payments relating to the purchase of tickets or ancillary services are managed by one or more Payment aggregator partners to which the Organizer can connect via API. EyaTickets does not hold the funds paid by participants on a lasting basis beyond the processing required for the transaction.

In the event of a refund, EyaTickets manages the processing of the request in accordance with our Refund Policy, in coordination with the Organizer and/or the Payment aggregator partner for the actual return of the funds to the original payment method.

The Organizer undertakes to comply with the invoicing and accounting rules applicable in their country of residence and, where applicable, in the country where the event takes place.

Communication and promotion

The personal data collected during registrations may only be used by the Organizer for the sole purposes of managing the event and communicating with participants, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Law No. 058/2021 relating to the protection of personal data and privacy (Rwanda).

Payment and fees

We accept the following payment methods: Mobile Money, bank and card payments, through certified payment partners. Payments are processed securely via our platform and third-party payment gateways. Applicable fees, commissions or charges are shown at checkout or in our pricing documents.
The total amount, including service fees, is displayed before the payment is confirmed — no hidden fees are applied after confirmation. If the event is cancelled by the organizer, the refund is processed within 5 to 10 business days to the same payment method used for the purchase.

Invoicing and settlement

The invoicing and payment terms for EyaTickets’ service fees are specified when the Organizer subscribes.

Collection and purposes

In the course of using the Platform, the User agrees that EyaTickets collects and processes personal data concerning them (last name, first name, email address, etc.) in order to provide the Services, manage the business relationship, and communicate information relating to the Platform or to events.

Cookies (trackers) may be placed on the User’s device for the purposes of audience measurement, technical operation, personalization and improving the experience. The terms for managing cookies are detailed in our Cookie Policy.

Data protection and User rights

EyaTickets undertakes to comply with the regulations in force regarding the protection of personal data, in particular Law No. 058/2021 relating to the protection of personal data and privacy (Rwanda).

The User has, at any time, the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of their data, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA), the competent supervisory authority in Rwanda. To exercise these rights, simply contact EyaTickets via the dedicated email address mentioned in the Privacy Policy.

These General Terms of Use are governed by Rwandan law. Any dispute arising from these Terms or from your use of EyaTickets shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rwanda, unless otherwise required by mandatory legal provisions.
