Paying for tickets with MTN MoMo Rwanda: a step-by-step buyer's guide

No bank card or app to install: most ticket purchases in Rwanda are made in a few simple steps from a phone, via MTN Mobile Money.

1. Choose your ticket

Browse the EyaTickets catalog, select your event and the ticket category you want.

2. Enter your MTN MoMo number

Enter the phone number linked to your MTN Mobile Money account. The total amount, including fees, is displayed before you confirm.

3. Confirm on your phone

A USSD confirmation request appears on your phone. Approve it with your MoMo PIN to complete the payment.

4. Receive your ticket

Your ticket, with its unique QR code, is sent to you immediately by SMS, and by email if you provided one. It remains accessible offline.

5. What if the payment fails?

If the USSD confirmation times out or your balance is insufficient, no amount is debited — you can simply start the purchase again. If you were charged but did not receive your ticket, contact support with your transaction number.
